Tales of a dark angel
A demon in the night
Alone in this hellish place
Deprived of love and light
Screaming for forgiveness
Of sins that are not yours
A mind of perverse laughter
Agony and gore
Insanity has taken you
And pulled you deep inside
This twisted world of darkness
Where your fears no longer hide
Attempting to possess your soul
And devour you wholly
You don't forget those memories
That kill us both so slowly
Your nightmare lies in living
Mine in dying without you
Your eyes are cold and emotionless
Has my nightmare come true?
You come to me for comfort
And gaze into my eyes
Begging me to speak to you
Sweet and loving lies
Against what I have stood for
Lie to you I do
Yet somewhere deep inside us
We both know what is true
And though I know the truth
I continue to press on
I will go on forever
Even when your soul is gone
When I see you in a pool of blood
When your heart has long stopped beating
Our memories will linger on
My love will not be fleeting.
