I don't even remember the actual challenge in materia100 that this was written for. I just realized that I had uploaded it and never actually posted it.
He nudged the body at his feet. Just a kid; one much younger than he was. A kid caught in the crossfire between AVALANCHE and the Turks. A kid that probably didn't have a thing to do with either.
"Collateral damage," a steady voice commented from beside him
He looked up to see the Turk named Reno looking at the body at his feet.
"Huh?"
"Collateral damage. You know, like blowing up someone's house that's in the way. Regrettable, but unavoidable." Reno shrugged then turned to walk away. Cloud watched him silently.
How could the man could be so indifferent?
