Christmas Faith

Now let me tell you a tale, of a sad Christmas day.

Eight beautiful children work as they say,

"We live in the North, so cold and weary,

All we want to do is praise the baby of Mary."

The eight orphans work, to stay alive,

The eldest is twelve, the youngest is five,

From sunrise to sunset, they do not play,

They only sleep 2 hours a day,

"Why us, why us!" they do not yell,

But rather the news of Jesus, they tell,

Wealthy folks look down on them and utter,

"Such worship shall not give you your supper."

The wondrous children shut out their remark,

These kids look to the light, and not to the dark,

"We know that our God has given us gifts,

Although we are poor, the inner crown fits,"

"We know the Lord will supply our needs,

His willing and gentle hand always feeds."

With a gleeful face, the children still toil,

They'll always know their Jesus Christ is loyal.
