"Winnie, Winnie, are you okay?"
"Pa watch over Winnie for me, I'm going to shoot those men, who killed Winnie!"
"No, son your not going, let's bring her into your mother, and see if she can help us."
Winnie moans, and there is blood rushing out of her side like a fast river.
"Jesse, I'm sorry I don't know if I can mak-."
Winnie's word's were cut short by another gun shot, and people racing towards them.
" Jesse, were going to have to leave her, or they'll know our secret." pa exclaimed crying.
"No! I'm not leaving her."
"We must Jesse let's go, we'll come back for her when it's safe."
They let the limp Winnie drop to the ground and ran away.
They soon reached home, and had lost the hunters, Jesse sobbing.
"Let's go back now!"
"Ok, let me get my coat." pa said.
Just then there was a knock on the door.
Jesse opened it and cried out in alarm.
It was Winnie, and she looked like she had never been hurt.
"Why, why look at you, your okay!" Jesse exclaimed as he lifted her off her feet.
"How are you alive, you were shot with a gaping wound."
"How do you think I survived?" she asked smirking.
"Did you!" "Did you!"
"Yes, Jesse I did, I drank from the spring." Winnie said.
"I'll be with you forever!"
But before they could rejoice there was a knock on the door. " Open up, we know your secret!"
