I glanced at the phone held loosely in my sleeping boyfriend's hand. Maybe-
"No Greg," came his sleepy voice.
"What?" I asked innocently.
"We already have a dog."
"You have a dog," I pouted.
"I thought you liked Maverick?"
"I do, but he's not a squirming little puppy like Mikey."
"I can't believe you want a puppy."
"Could be worse-I could want a baby."
Silence… "What was that number again?"
