Too Late
Kagome sat on the edge of the well, her cheeks wet with tears. She and InuYasha got into a fight and he said he hated her and that he wished she never came to HIS time, emphasizing his. She was severally hurt and silent sobs rocked her.
She threw her head up to the sky, "I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN EITHER!"
She brought her head back down and sobbed harder than before. She wiped her eyes and said, "Fine," She said. With a shaky breath, she threw her self over the ledge and into the well, awaiting her return home.

Kagome threw put her back pack on the bed, getting ready to return to InuYasha to make up with him. She threw various clothes and possessions into the bag. She picked up her glass Shikon Jewel bottle. She uncorked it and let a tiny shard slip onto her hands.
'How could something this small be so important?' Kagome thought. She held it in her hand when suddenly, it started to glow. The glow got brighter then, the shard turned to ash in her hand.
"What the hell!" Kagome exclaimed. She grabbed the bottle and looked. There was ash where the other shards should be. She ran down the steps and searched for her grandfather.
"Grandfather! Look what happened to the shards!" Kagome said, holding out her hand and the tiny bottle.
"Oh, dear." He whispered. He went to a shelf and pulled out an unmarked book. He thumbed through the pages, stopping in the middle. His sad expression saddened even more. "Just as I feared." He said, giving the book to Kagome.
"The Shikon No Tama is said to have an "expiration date", where it would turn to ash and be unusable. This date is unknown." Kagome's eyes widened, brimmed with tears.
"It's gone? Forever?" Kagome stammered, a single tear slid down her cheek. She threw the book and ran out of the house to the well, ashes still clutched in her hand. She threw the doors open of the hut that guarded the well. She went to the edge and hauled herself over. She prayed as she fell the short distance.
But her hope was crushed as she was met with hard, solid earth. Her eyes grew even wider and she balled her fist.
"NO!" Kagome screamed as she pounded the floor of the well. "InuYasha," She whispered.
Line
InuYasha clutched his shard in his hand, waiting by the well.
"GOD! How long does she need to cool off?" He asked no one in particular. He looked at the shard in his hand. It began to glow and InuYasha watched in aww. Suddenly it turned to ash. The wind picked up and blew the ash out of his palm. InuYasha gasped. He dropped to his knees as he realized exactly what had happened. "This isn't happening." He whispered. She was gone. Never coming back. The well was sealed. Sango, Miroku, and Shippo came into the clearing.
"InuYasha, our shards have-" Miroku started.
"I know," InuYasha said barely audible. Everyone grew sad as the realized the well was useless now.
"InuYasha, where's Kagome?" Shippo asked on the verge of tears. InuYasha's shoulders shook slightly but he turned his head.
"She isn't coming back," He said. Everyone's eyes went wide because InuYasha's eyes and cheeks were wet with tears.
Line
It is said that having lost the one thing he held dear to him, InuYasha waited by that well until his death. The same could be said about Kagome but, these are just rumors. If you ever happen to be near the bone eater's well on the night of a full moon, it is said you can see the two lovers dance in a nearby field…
Having finally being reunited once again.
