Summary: Sometimes things remain the same, and sometimes they don't.
Written for the ever lovely Squeak, because Team 8 needs more love.
Some things changed, and some things didn't.
Inuzuka Kiba reflected on this statement as he walked with his teammates to go meet Kurenai-sensei.
For example, Hinata still blushed profusely around Naruto; Kiba doubted she'd ever outgrow that trait. Shino was as stoic and silent as ever, maybe even more so. He still held himself as the leader of the group, and Kiba still liked to think he was really the leader. And Akamaru still went everywhere with his Inuzuka master, no matter what.
But, there were the different things too.
In that respect, they were all chuunin now; Shino was probably even good enough to be Jounin now; he had that whole new wardrobe too. Hinata, while still her blushing and quiet self, was stronger than ever before, a force to be reckoned with in her own right; Neji was even getting along with her now. Akamaru no longer fit inside Kiba's jacket. The ninken had grown so much that Kiba could get a lift from him, instead of the other way around.
The Inuzuka blinked back to the present at Hinata's soft giggle; Akamaru was gently snuffling the girl, playfully. A hand ghosted from Shino's pocket to silently push his glasses back up on his face, the only indication of his probable amusement. Kiba felt himself grin, moving slightly so he was more even with his teammates. Hinata, carefully pushing away Akamaru's head, quietly asked him with a smile if he was alright.
Kiba grinned even more. "Yeah."
Some things changed, and some things didn't.
Inuzuka Kiba was just fine with that.
