-1A/N:I do not own anything in this story except the plotline.

"Harry?" she asked, walking towards the figure by the edge of the lake.

"Yeah, its me 'Mione," the boy replied.

She sat down next to him and watched as he stared across the lake into nothingness. He seemed to be thinking about something, but she couldn't figure out what.

I'll always remember,

It was late afternoon,

It lasted forever,

And ended so soon,

"What's got you so down?" she asked, smiling.

"Sirius," Harry replied. Hermione's smile fell.

"You really need to stop beating yourself up about that," she said, "It wasn't your fault."

"I know," he replied, "but I still feel like I could have, no, should have done something."

You were all by yourself,

Staring up at a dark grey sky,

I was changed,

Harry got up and began to walk away down the beach. Hermione got up and grabbed him.

"Harry, you can't just walk away from this! You need to talk to someone about it."

He turned around to face her and it was then that she saw the tears streaming down his face.

In places no one will find,

All your feelings so deep inside,

Was then that I realized,

That forever was in your eyes,

The moment I saw you cry,

"You need to stop pushing people away like this. There are people here who care about you," she added with a whisper, "I care about you." She turned and began to run away, but Harry grabbed her from behind.

"No, wait," he said quietly. She turned around to face him and she felt his arms around her. 'This feels so right' she thought to herself. And then he kissed her. The kiss seemed to last forever and when he pulled away, he was smiling for the first time in weeks. As they walked up to the castle, hands clasped, she again saw tears begin to fall. But these seemed…different, they seemed happier. Like they were tears shed in letting go, not anguish. She smiled as they entered the castle, thinking about the moment she fell in love, the moment she saw him cry.
