Hello everyone! I'm new here and thought I'd start off with a poem I wrote in a really angst mood! Please R&R!
Disclaimer: It all belongs to the genius J.R.R Tolkien
A/N: I apologize for any Elvish errors. It's not my native language. :)
Nainie an i ernil Eryn Lasgallen
or Lament for the Prince of Greenwood
As written by King Elessar Elfstone
Fair Immortal, being of Light
Walk unafraid into the land of your people
You left me in this empty place
Devoid of love, laughter, or joy
You're walking a path I cannot tread
Being called to a place I can never find
As much as I long to follow you
Your golden hair, rays of the Sun
Eyes as blue as the Sea
Skill in battle unmatched
So too, gentleness of heart
Your life as well as your death
All of this imprinted in my memory
I recall your final hours
So full of pain and tears
Both of us forced to say goodbye
But only you leaving before your time
Facing a foolish mortal's fate
As your spirit fled the world
Be at peace, mellon-nin
At last the suffering is over
For soon I too will follow my fathers
To the halls of Mandos, into eternity
Forever you will be remembered
In the tongues of Elf and Man
For Death is only a beginning for you
Gwador-nin, my brother
