A Kiss for the Ages HBP SPOILERS

(A/N) This is set around Ron and Hermione even though Ron is going out with Lavender there is a bit of Christmas cheer. HBP stuff. Also I own nothing dammit and J.K owns all.

It was Christmas eve Ron sat alone in his dorm. Harry had gone out with Cho to hogsmead. One of the only people left was Hermione most of them had gone on the trip. Lavender brown, his girlfriend, had gone to get presents and she hadn't wanted him to see anything she got. He wandered down to the common room to warm up in front of the fire as his dorm only had a very small burner that hadn't been lit yet. He saw that Hermione was sitting by the fire hunched over her homework. She looked like she had been worked silly so he went over and started to massage her shoulders lightly. She looked up at him and smiled trying to relax into it.

"Oh that's nice where did you learn to do that?" She asked as he very lightly rubbed her neck.

"With four brothers who love quidditch and me the youngest I had to know how to give a good foot rub other wise they wouldn't let me play" He said know this would make her giggle. She did. He kept rubbing her neck even when she tried to tell him to stop he just shushed her. It really was becoming a good Christmas Eve.

"Wait" She said pulling away "What about lavender?" She asked looking at him guiltily.

"Oh yer" He replied and pulled his hands away. They sat there for a bit in a nice silence the fire crackling away nicely. Snow started to fall out side again and Ron saw it though the window.

"Look Hermione" He said tugging on her arm "Lets go out and have a snow ball fight" She looked up at him and saw the almost to big to be true smile on his face.

"Yer ok lets go. Let me just get my coat" She said as she started to run up the stairs to her dorm. She came back down a minuet later with a thick winery cost on and gloves.

"Ok lets go" He said eagerly jumping up as he saw her. They rushed out into the snow and started to throe them at each other using their hands and some magic.

"Aaahhh" Cried Ron as a particularly lager one of Hermione's hit the side of his head. She rushed over to where he had fallen.

"Are you ok?" She asked almost franticly looking worriedly at him.

"Yer I'll live" He said dramatically playing the fool. Hermione bent down over his leg and did a quick healing spell. As she got up he pulled her back down and into a kiss. She pulled away for a moment then push back melting into him.

"RON" Came a cry. They pulled apart and spun round to see a very angry Lavender and a highly amused Harry and Cho who were holding heands.

"Um it's not I mean I didn't oh crap" Said Ron after a moment of stunned shock.
