I looked at the gray sky. It was going to rain.
"You hated rainy days..."
Yuki dug out a small cat's bell from my pocket.
"I kept the charm you gave me, Kyo."
Flashback
"Keep this, okay?" Kyo said handing Yuki a small bell.
"What is it?" Yuki asked, looking at the silver bell.
"It's called a cat's bell. Ring it if I'm gone. Alright?" Kyo explained.
Yuki shook the bell to hear it's ring. Small, soft rings came out. "Okay."
End flashback
"I miss you Kyo. I never meant to hurt you. I didn't want you to feel betrayed. I was just being stupid."
Flashback
"How could you do that to me? Am I not good enough for you?" Kyo spat, venom clear in his voice.
"I'm s-sorry. I-I didn't want to hurt you." Yuki pleaded.
"You didn't think I'd be hurt from you cheating on me? I thought you knew me more than that. I thought you loved me..." Kyo said sadly.
"Kyo, let me explain." Yuki pleaded once again.
"NO! Let me explain! Were done!" Kyo yelled, all the sadness drained to be replaced with anger.
"K-Kyo! Y-you don't mean that, right? I-I love you!" Yuki gasped, tears welling up in his eyes.
"It shows." Kyo said, slamming the door to Yuki's room.
"K-kyo! Kyo..." Yuki covered his face with his hands as he sobbed.
End flashback.
"I heard you that after you left Shigure's, you got shot. Shot by some drunk jackass. We heard it on the news. Tohru started sobbing. Shigure was, for once, compleatly silent. I sobbed the most. Tohru couldn't bare with it. She had to get her memory erased. Shigure is much more serious now. I...I've become nothing without you, Kyo. If I hadn't cheated on you, you wouldn't have left. Then you wouldn't have been murdered. I still remember your last words to me in the hospital before you died that night."
Flashback.
"Yuki. I'm sorry." Kyo whispered.
"Why? I'm the one who should be sorry. If I didn't betray you, you wouldn't have been shot." Yuki said sadly.
"Don't blame yourself. Just remember I love you okay? And whatever happens to me, keep our memories alive okay?"
"A-alright." Then Yuki went into fite of sobbing as Kyo closed his eyes. Never to open them again.
End Flashback.
"It's been two years since you died. You never got to go to college like you wanted to. I didn't either. I started failing after you died. I dropped out. I thought about suicide plenty of times, but I couldn't. Not after what you said. You told me to keep our memories alive. That means I have to live. I promise to keep living. I love you Kyo."
Yuki touched the earth where his former lover layed, buried deep beneath. Then Yuki turned his head to the lake.
"I'll always love you."
