This is based on the chapter And There Will Come Soft Rains.
The House
The soft rains fell
Outside the house
Against the windows.
The blackened and charred walls
Show what happened that final day
The family's silhouette white against the black
side
But the house doesn't remember, it
still goes on.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner all made like they always
were.
Robot mice still clean the now-empty
floors.
Child time, bath time, night time
Still come and go with precision.
But things do change outside the house's
haven.
Dead trees, stray animals all challenge it.
It just takes one to end it all.
One tree falls, one fire
Then the house shall be no more
