Based on June 2001: -And The Moon Be Still As Bright.
Ruin
This planet is too perfect for you or me
Feel awed by the impression the Martians left behind
Beautiful cities, clean land is all for to see
They knew right from wrong, unlike our kind
And now we come to wreak their lifework
Killing them off with our human diseases
All the good they did sinks into the murk
The nobility of their race ceases
It isn't enough to ruin our own world
We have to change theirs as well
Humans have not learned to leave things alone
But as the intentions of men unfurled
Their was one Martian left unknown
To hide Mars from men's destroying bombshells
