Chapter 2
The Truth
Yoh meets Anna in her house that afternoon. Anna is still uncommonly pale. Then Yoh asks her, "Anna are you ok?"
"Yes Yoh. Why ask?" replied Anna, a little hint of doubt in her voice.
"Its just that your abnormally pale today. Are you sure you're feeling fine?" said Yoh worriedly.
"For the last time Yoh. I am fine," retorted Anna, "Come on. Let's go. I want us to be there before the sunset"
"Ok Anna. If you say so. Just tell me if you're not feeling well. 'Kay?"
"Ok Yoh."

In the beach they made sand castles and collected shells. It's like the time of their lives. And then Yoh notices the sun is setting already.
"Anna, I've got something to tell you. It's very important. You know I love you very much, right? But I wanted to go more far from that. You see Anna. Will you ma-mar-marry me?" said the stammering Yoh. This got Anna tongue-tied for a while.
"Umm… Y-Yoh you see I also got something to tell you. I'm sick." Anna stammered.
"Do you have a fever or something? Do you want me take you home?" said Yoh, slightly disappointed for Anna not answering his previous question.
"No. I'm sick. I have leukemia." Replied the sighing Anna.
"Are you joking me? Because its not funny." Choked Yoh.
"No, Yoh. You've got to understand," whispered Anna
"YOU WANT ME TO UNDERSTAND! WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN! TELL ME THE TRUTH!" demanded Yoh.
"Well. I discovered that it is my illness 2 months ago. I can't tell you because I don't know how you will react when you know. I love you so much. I can't bear to see you acting strange around me." Said Anna, sadly.
"You know I love you too. But how can you keep this thing from me. I should know what's happening to you." Said Yoh, caringly.
"I know. I know. I should've told you earlier. I'm sorry. I bet you never want to see me again after this. I'm sorry." Said Anna, walking away.
Yoh wants to follow Anna. But he found his legs unable to move.
'I love you.' Thought Yoh. As the night continued.
