Authoress: Isleia
Pairing: Squall x Seifer
Summary: Squall and Seifer go ring shopping, much to Squall's dismay. One-shot.
Disclaimer: Belongs to Square Enix and Hironobu Sakaguchi.
AN: Another add on to 'Proposal.' By the way, just saw Brokeback Mountain today. Possibly one of the most gay movies I've ever seen. It's about two gay cowboys. I shit you not. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are those two cowboys. Sweet, neh? Very hot!
Enough rambling on my part, on with the story!
It was quiet. There were small murmurs here and there, but otherwise it was silent. Squall looked around room with uncertain eyes. He didn't know who to trust or who to kill. He was watching, waiting for the right moment. Waiting to make a move toward the only way out. Waiting…
"SQUALL!"
…for the chance to get the hell out of that Hyne-damned jewelry store.
Squall looked across the store at Seifer, scowl in place.
"What?"
Green eyes went to slits as Seifer stalked over to Squall at a quick pace. Standing in front of him, Seifer hissed out threateningly at the smaller man.
"Where the hell do you think you're going?"
"Out."
"We are out."
Squall crossed his arms in front of himself. "Out of this store."
"Hey, you said yes when I asked you to marry me. So thus, in turn, we must get the most important thing that comes with marriage…"
"The marriage certificate?"
Cat like green eyes rolled. "No, the rings, dammit! You make it sound like this is torture."
"It is." Squall mumbled under his breath.
"Come on."
Seifer grabbed Squall's arm and dragged him to the other end of the store, far away from the exit. Plenty of people were staring at the couple, odd as they were. Women looked on with envious eyes, at the fact that they were a couple and the fact that they were both very handsome. Men even looked in their direction.
One man saw Squall and gave him a once over. Seifer caught it and nearly knocked his head off for it, but settled for a low growl.
"Look at these."
"Seifer, we've been looking at nearly every ring in the store, can't we just come back another time?"
"Shit, Squall, you sound like a woman. Now, come on, this is the last one. I promise."
Squall took one look into Seifer's eyes and he couldn't help but melt on the spot. Damn him and those puppy eyes, he thought.
"…Fine…"
Glancing down he saw two rings side by side. One ring was gold with a green diamond in the middle. The other ring was silver and had a blue diamond set into it. Both rings sparkled brightly at him. Now Squall couldn't stop staring, both rings seemed to reflect Seifer and himself perfectly. The gold and green ring for Seifer, and the silver and blue one for Squall.
Seifer leaned forward and whispered in Squall's ear. "I thought you would like it."
Squall only smiled back.
Class seemed to be passing slowly today, but to the brunette sitting in the back, he couldn't be happier.
The blond sitting nearby flashed a smirk at the smaller man. Seifer took off his left glove and showed Squall the shimmering gold ring with the sparkling green diamond in the middle that was on his ring finger.
Squall lightly smiled back pulled off his own left glove to show the shining silver ring with the bright blue diamond which also rested on his ring finger.
Seifer quickly wrote a note and tossed it onto Squall's desk. Squall picked it up and read:
'So, where are we getting married?'
AN: Had to write that. It just popped into my head while watching Brokeback Mountain and it wanted out. So now you all know what kind of rings those two got, but once again I ended it with another question.
I already had an idea of what I was going to do for this one-shot, but I think it would be a good idea to see what everybody else thinks. So, where should they get married? This will determine what I write for the sequel to this one-shot.
So, R&R or not, it's up to you. Thanx for reading!
