Come with me, in the twilight of this summer night for a while.
Tell me of a story, never ever heard in the land…
Silver moonlight glinting on hair equally silver. Emerald eyes rich with a promise and a threat. A wicked smirk like the waning crescent moon. An offered hand; an offered choice.
Will you come with me?
Question. No answer. Sapphire eyes glinted, frozen with indecision. Tousled chocolate spikes falling over those eyes, failing to mask the pain in them.
Do I dare?
Answer. The question does not matter. Ebony lashes shade leaf-green eyes, lips curving into a frown. Silver hair flying as a head is tossed in challenge.
Take me back to the land, where my yearnings were born
The key to open the door is in your hand, now fly me there…
An ultimatum.
Do you?
A laugh, sky blue eyes glinting with laughter.
Always.
In the land of misery, I'm searching for a sign
To the door of mystery, I'm wandering
Down the secret song…
Pale hand grips tan. Twin gemstone gazes lock in the world's joke. The gods are laughing.
Do you dare?
Of course I do.
Hands part, but the feeling remains. Not touching, not speaking. Not needing to.
Come with me in the twilight of this summer night for a while,
Tell me of a story never ever told in the land.
Take me back to the land
Where my yearnings were born.
The key to open the door is in your hand.
Now take me there.
I dare.

AN: Okay. Even I didn't realize all of the symbolism in that song as I was writing it. You come up with the strangest things after midnight. This was written while playing dress-up with my best friend's little sister. Seriously, who needs dignity? But I'm waxing incoherent. I'll post this when I get the chance.
