Sunset Confession
Disclaimer: Same old, same old.
Authors note: Welcome back all my fanfic readers! Here's a new story to keep you interested.
It was around seven-thirty at the Halliwell manor when Piper was sitting on her back veranda watching the sunset. A gentle breeze caressed her brown curls as she looked longingly into the distance.
The Skyline went from a pale pink to a yellow and then a blue. The trees looked black against the coloured skyline creating the perfect summer picture. Stars began to immerge, as Piper was lost in her own thoughts not noticing the silent arrival of a guest.
Leo Wyatt watched Piper as the stared out in the distance. He couldn't help wondering what she was thinking about. He was wondering if the woman he loved loved him back. He decided it was time to find out for sure.
Piper was in fact thinking about Leo and marveling at the fact that she hadn't seen what was right under her nose. She silently prayed that she hadn't hurt Leo too much while she was going out with Dan. She loved Leo, always would and she hoped that they would have a second chance.
As colour faded out of the sky evermore allowing the way for a blanket of darkness, Leo decided to spill the magical beans.
"Piper?" Leo said in a soft voice, almost a whisper
"Hmm?" was the reply
Leo decided that she wasn't in the mood for talking so maybe she would listen.
"I would like to share something with you." Leo said in the same soft voice.
"Hmm." Came a substandard reply.
"I, um… well, see…" Leo spluttered
"Just spit it out!" Piper yelled. She was annoyed and confused at the situation.
She turned and looked into his eyes, instantly becoming lost in his deep green eyes. With great effort she looked away again and motioned for him to continue.
"I love you." He said
Piper stopped as if she had been frozen herself. Whatever she was expecting it wasn't that. Stunned into silence she couldn't respond but her mind was racing. He had finally said it! Now to seal a promise.
She moved slowly towards Leo and stopped inches from his face.
"So do I" she whispered.
Leo closed the distance between them and placed a light kiss on her awaiting lips.
After a few minutes they pulled apart and sat down again wrapped in each other's arms.
Piper looked at the stars again, thinking that they looked a little brighter than before.
To Piper, everything seemed brighter than before. After a few minutes of looking at the stars they headed indoors for a lovely romantic dinner and a beautiful night.
So there you have it! Not great but getting better.
