A/N: ASP didn't show much of what happened between all Gilmore Girls' fans favorite couple (a.k.a. Luke and Lorelai) after the horrific golf incident in 5:7, You Jump, I Jump, Jack. So here's my take on what happened afterward.
I'm still working on Comfort, in case you were wondering. Just found this sitting all alone, unfinished, on my computer, so I thought I'd finish it up!
Yes, back to the good ol' days of little one-shots! Hope y'all like this!
J.Stone: Here's some fluff for ya. I hope you enjoy it! Tell me if your teeth hurt…--
"I want to tell him I love him. But I push him onto my bed instead. I try to tell him with my skin, my hands, and my lips. I hope he understands."

Lorelai walked quickly to the diner after her slightly confusing call from Rory. Where had all that 'mouse' stuff she was talking about come from? Why was she worrying about things like that? Before she could come up with any answers, she had reached her destination.
She raised her arm above the door, grabbed the spare key, and proceeded to ignore the 'Closed' sign hanging on the door and let herself in. Dropping her purse on the counter as she passed, she headed upstairs.
Lorelai found Luke, leaning back against the kitchen counter, arms folded, looking down. She shut the door softly behind her. When he heard her enter, he looked over.
"Hey." She said.
"Hey."
She stepped over and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug.
"I'm sorry." She sighed against his neck.
He kissed the top of her head. "It's okay. I got myself into this."
"But I sparked it." Lorelai insisted, pulling back slightly, letting him take her hands in his. She refused to let him take blame for her parents. "That Friday night dinner started everything."
"I told you to set it up. You didn't want to. You tried to warn me." Luke ran his thumbs over the tops of her hands. "I should've listened to you."
Lorelai cocked her head. "What was that, Luke Danes? Did you just say you should have listened to me? Can I get that on tape?"
Luke smirked. Her humor seemed to pop up in the unlikeliest places sometimes. He just shook his head. She leaned back into him, and he wrapped his arms around her again.
They just stood there quietly, fully content in just being in each other's arms. Lorelai's voice shattered the silence. "You feeling better?" she whispered.
Luke smiled. "Yeah."
"And I promise you'll never have to golf again."
He chuckled at that. "Good."
She pulled away so she could look in his eyes. "Oh, before I forget. When you franchise, put a Luke's near New Haven. Rory misses your burgers."
"I'm notfranchising."
"You say that now…" She taunted.
He shook his head. "I am notfranchising."
"You don't know my dad. He can talk people into anything."
"I am not," Luke emphasized this with a passionate kiss. "Franchising." He whispered when he took a breath.
"Are you sure about that, Mr. Danes?" Lorelai giggled between kisses. "I'm not so sure. You'll have to convince me."
Luke couldn't hide his smile. "I think I can manage that."
As they made love, she wanted to tell him how she really felt. But the words – three little, little, words – they just wouldn't leave her lips.
Lorelai was scared. Scared of the promises that those words held.
She couldn't say them, but she thought that maybe she could show him. So she tried her hardest, teasing him with her tongue and massaging him with her hands.
And later, when they lay tangled in the sheets and each other, exhausted, he pulls her close to him. As she lay with her back against his chest, Luke murmured in her ear. "Convinced?"
She let out a small laugh. "Yeah."
After the lights were turned off and Lorelai was half-asleep, she was almost completely sure she heard him whisper, "I love you too."
