His lips hovered only moments from hers. Cordelia held her breath, thinking that this time (THIS time!) she would be kissed the way he kissed her in her dreams. He moved in a hair's breadth closer and Cordelia realized her eyes had slid shut. Then, the phone rang. Then Connor cried. A barrage of noise occurred with Gun and Fred clattering down the stairs and Lorne breaking into a random tune. Angel moved away, with only a slight brush against her arm and Cordelia was jolted back into reality. After all, life always interrupted. It was, unfortunately, their greatest obligation.
