Jurassic Park Life: Velociraptor.
Note: this is the first in a series of JP fics Depicting the lives of Dinosaurs. This one will focus on a Raptor that lives during JP / (that's 3, for anyone who doesn't understand) and ends up having a life of trouble afterwards. The series will cross over with each installment, such as the fact that all dino's in the series get captured and put in a High security zoo outside of NYC. How they escape, well, you'll see, so sit back and enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own Jurassic Park or its characters, but I do own the personalities of the Dinosaurs I write about.

It was dark, but doesn't life always start in a dark place? Weather it's in the womb of a mammal, or an egg, which is where this particular creature started out in. the egg tooth of the creature made a hole in the area, so he pushed his way out. Something outside helped him, which startled the little creature. What could possibly exist outside of this place? He found out as his head poked out of the egg. He saw… a big lizard, milky white with black spots all over her. Was she dirty? No, it was her skin. But this creature helped him out of his egg. His egg-tooth fell off. Soon he was out of the egg, and the other made a few caring sounds at him, and then he looked around, and saw the others. Some where like his helper, his… mother? And the others were a maroon color, with a red streak going across each side, and feathers on their head. Who were they? They all made more sounds, and then he noticed the other eggs, which had started to hatch. He didn't know it, but the small Velociraptor tribe had just witnessed the birth of Lone Wolf, the son of the Alpha Female Dosuun, and future hero of this Tribe of Raptors.

June 15, 2001 (a few months before the JP / incident)
Another day, another swing-and-a-miss. Lone Wolf had failed yet again to find a suitable mate for him, for once again getting bludgeoned in the head by a superior male's tail. He was determined to get a mate before the mating season was over, so he made a plan. One that was sure to get him either extreme embarrassment, or the most perfect mate. He was going to challenge his own father, Flamer, to a fight along the river.
He approached his father and gave him a challenging growl. Flamer looked at Lone Wolf like he just turned into a female. Another growl, and this one got a reply from Flamer. As the rest of the tribe watched, Father and Son walked to the riverbed, and made their challenge bows. Then, they ran toward each other. The results turned to be the former, as Flamer sped by Lone Wolf, and smacked the young one into the water with his tail.
When he looked up, all the other raptors gave him the equivalent of being teased. Well, except one. She was the most beautiful and energetic of the raptor females, just his age, and… available. Lone Wolf figures out that both of his planned endings were true, and so, Lone Wolf and Speeder became mates from then on. But Lone Wolf made a mental note from then on that challenging his own father just isn't the most perfect idea.
So, Lone Wolf found a Mate, but who knew that it would all go down hill in a few months, soon after some unexpected visitors drop in?
