This is my third fanfic now!
My other one – 'These Things Happen' – should be updated with a new chapter, or two before Wednesday!
This is an idea that I have had for a while, but I just had to get it down on paper, or on screen – if you know what I mean!
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters or anything to do with the ER.
It is set around near the start of Season 11 because I did not see much after then. There are bits missed out.
Susan is still with Chuck, but did not have the baby and a few other things. Do not hesitate to ask along the way!
So, this is a chapter story.

I was a bright, yet chilly Chicago morning and the ER was quite empty. This was an opportunity to be savored.
Susan and Abby were taking their break at the desk and were relaxing.
"Hey Susan," said Abby.
"Yeah?" replied her friend.
"Do you know who the new Attending is yet?" she enquired.
"No," Susan said, "I have not heard anything yet, but you could always go and ask Kerry," Susan light-heartedly suggested.
I think I will leave it for now and wait and see," Abby replied jokingly and somewhat sarcastically.
Susan laughed at her friend's expression.
They returned to their previous conversation.
Just then a voice came from a figure about ten feet away from the desk, to the front.
In a voice that seemed familiar to Abby, and in a friendly and somewhat warm tone spoke the words, "Abby, Abby Wyczenski."
