The morning air was cool against her soft skin. She leaned against the wall, along with the rest of the nightshift, waiting for their fearless leader to arive with the rented Dodge Ram 3500 Maxivan. Ecklie rented a 12 passenger van for the long trip. It was the least he could do, she thought, after forcing them to go on this trip.

Part of Ecklie's 'lab improvement' was to send the shifts out to 'bond'. He figured that stronger relationships would result in a more effective lab.

She pushed her straight, brown hair out of her face and glanced down at her digital watch. 5:04 am. She sighed. He was supposed to be here four minutes ago.

Sara slid along the wall into a sitting position, leaning on her single suitcase, he feat proped up onto her dufflebag. She glanced over at Catherine, who was standing, surrounded by her many suitcases. She let out a small laugh. They were going to be gone for a month, but Catherine looked like she had packed her entire bedroom.
On the other side of Sara, Nick, Warrick and Greg stood around in a semi-circle, barely having a conversation. They'd all just got off an eight hour shift, and exhaustion was taking over them.

Just as Sara closed her eyes, the large, blue, monstrosity of a van pulled up to the curb. Sighing, she pulled herself off the ground and grabbed her luggage.

"You're late" she growled at Grissom, as he hopped out of the van to help with her luggage.

"Only six minutes. I stopped to pick up coffee."

Sara grunted something, and climbed into the long bench seat in the very back.
Greg sat beside her.

In the middle seat, Warrick and Nick crawled in beside each other. Nick leaned his head against the window and let out a long yawn.

Catherine sat in the front seat beside Grissom, grabbed the tray of coffee's and passed them down without saying a word.

Exhaustion had finally consumed everyone, except Grissom who began to drive.
