It has been three years after the Minicon wars that ravaged on earth. The Autobots, and Decepticons are at there fewest numbers yet. after countless battles with countless losses, Optimus Prime negotiated a treaty with megatron. It stated that the remaining Decepticons would return to Cybertron with there newly acquired Minicons. The few remaining Autobots on cybertron would be granted safe passage to earth to strive to live there with the rest of the Autobots. While the group of Autobots were traveling to earth they received an energy reading from several solar systems away from that of earth. It appeared to be a Minicon signal. several days later the group made touch down on earth. Optimus Prime and the other surviving Autobots greeted them, and with much sorrow told them of all there fallen heros. Ultra Magnus was the appointed leader of the small group of travelers, it was his responsibility to interrupt and let Optimus Prime know about the Minicon signal that was picked up. On hearing this news Optimus Prime along with Ultra Magnus, Red Alert, and Iron Hide discuss the importance of sending a group of Autobots to investigate the signals authenticity. After Optimus and Ultra Magnus discuss who should lead the group and who should be in the group.
"Optimus I need Hot Shot in this group, he's the only advanced scout that i can trust, not to steal the Minicon for himself." Ultra Magnus Says not knowing that Hot Shot was dead.
In a sorrow tone Optimus explains, " Hot Shot died, Ultra Magnus. He, Red Alert, Iron Hide, and I were on a secret mission to save several of our Minicons from the Decepticon moon base. I sent him in first to scout out the start of our route. It was only three minutes after he left when we heard the gun fire. The three of us ran to his defense but to our horror Hot Shot was in pieces. His energon was completely dry. We managed to get all his pieces back to the base and rebuilt him, but he just won't start up." he says putting his head down in memory of Hot Shot.
"i still want his remains on my ship, if anything it will inspire my new recruits to be like him. and what ever we find will be in his memory." with that said Ultra Magnus turns to walk out the door then turns around and says, " did you ever get the Minicons back?"
"Yes, We recovered them to." Optimus answered, watching Ultra Magnus walk out the door satisfied.
"Optimus why does he want to take Hot Shots body?" Asks Jolt, Hot Shots old companion.
"He and Hot Shot saw eye to eye, Jolt." Optimus says to the small Minicon. "You should get to know him." Optimus suggests.
"I'll take that into consideration." Jolt says to Optimus Prime. and walks off out the door to the council room.
A few hours later in another section of the Autobot base Ultra Magnus interviews the volunteers, deciding whether or not they should or should not, go. "Frontier has Hot Shots body been put on board?" Ultra Magnus asks his second in command.
"Yes sir it has." he responds and walks of toward the ship.
"Ultra Magnus, Sir may i join this expedition." Jolt asks walking in as the last volunteer. "Hot Shot was a good friend of mine, Plus if it is a Minicon signal then they won't be hostile if one of them is on board." he continued, making his case.
"Of course you can. You've brought up several good points and will allow you to join me." Ultra Magnus says walking with Jolt to the ship.
