Lyra's last words

As I lie here in the dark, Will

And stare up at the wall.

I see your face reflected there,

And I can hear your call.

I sense you, crying out for me,

I truly feel your pain.

For it's just like that for me Will,

It's exactly the same.

I'm crying for you too Will,

I feel I'm dead inside.

Perhaps if I could end it all,

The sadness would subside.

Yes, that's just what I'll do Will,

I'll end it all right now.

Perhaps we'll meet again, my love,

But I just don't know how.

So I lie here in the dark, Will,

And I take my last breath,

Living without you is torture,

So instead, I choose death.
