The first Christmas since his parents had been divorced, there was no Christmas with Sara, and Setsuna didn't want to spend it with his father and his lover. He had planned to go out and be alone for Christmas, but Kira invited him over.
Though Kira and his father argued the whole time Setsuna was there, he could tell that they were both trying to keep it to a minimum to not make him feel uncomfortable. He was thankful.
Kira gave him a large, red pendant; hung it around his neck.
"Merry Christmas," he said, and they went to eat.
