"...Yo tengo un gato en mis pantalones, y'know." The young teenage girl snickered, sipping the Irken soda unknowingly. She paused, and cringed, forcing it down. It was nowhere near coca-cola.
"...Ohhh...kayyyyy...?" The purple-eyed alien cocked an eyebrow, sitting at her side.
"It means 'I have a cat in my pants,' Purple. It's Spanish," the girl replied to his confusion.
"I see," Purple said, appearing as if he were thinking hard, scratching his chin with his rather long, talon-like fingers. He looked over at Nikki out of the corner of his eye, staring as she drank the rest of the soda, holding her nose to swig it down without any taste.
She let out a refreshed, sarcastic sigh, "MAN, what a rush!" Grinning, she looked over at Purple, and scooted closer, staring up into his bright, curious eyes. He'd never really been up close to a human before, and instead of being disgusted, he seemed more intrigued than anything. (Though at times, wretching was necessary when Nikki became a little too sunny)
"Can I...help you...?" he asked, scooting an inch or two away. He didn't know exactly what she was planning next. She WAS a very spontaneous creature.
Nikki shook her head, falling to her left and catching herself on Purple's arm. "Just need someone as a leanin'-post, if it's alright with you"
"...Humans are odd..." Purple mumbled, fidgeting uncomfortably, trying to sip his soda.
"Only ones that you don't get to know. On the contrary to popular belief, not all of us are as disgusting as you might think," Nikki explained, looking up at him, "We can be a very social people once you earn our trust and respect...at least, that's my case"
"Hm..." Purple chewed her words over in his mind, finishing up his soda and crinkling up the cup.
"Hey, Purple-sama?" Nikki asked suddenly, after a long pause.
He looked down at her, blinking as if to ask, "What's up now"
The teenage girl simply grinned, "In case you're wondering, you've earned that respect from me. I'm glad you're my friend"
Purple paused, but said nothing. He was taken aback by her statement. He was her friend? Aside from Red, he never was considered a friend by anyone else. Nothing but a Tallest to his followers, and a threat to opposing planets. This girl, from planet Earth, was calling him a friend.
He didn't notice the smile that curled to his lips as he replied to her touching statement with, "Friend, huh...? That makes me happy too..."
