Summary: On the care and feeding of Sunnydaleian vampires

On real estate

The one hundred vampires from the last chapter don't make an impact on housing, as long, as they stay up to upper middle class.

But their victims do. When you have 100 vampires for 100 years, each eating 50 humans a year, you have 500000 dead bodies. Assuming an average lifetime of 50 years for those humans, who are not eaten by vampires, we get an extra 100000 bodies. So we need 600000 graves in Sunnydale. "Beer Good" wrote there are 12 cemeteries in Sunnydale, this means 50000 graves a cemetery.
Assuming two square meters per grave, each cemetery would have at least 100000 qm, which is 10 hectares or about 25 acres.

Note that graveyard size is not a problem in Europe as grave sites are reused every 40 to 100 years. On Jewish graveyards, where the bones are not dug up, new graves are put on top of old ones, so these graveyards grow to a small hill. On the US East Coast it may be the same, but my impression was, that on the US West Coast grave sites are not reused.
