These characters all belong to Clive Barker. They certainly don't belong to me.
Candy—16-years-old. Comes from this wonderful place called the Hereafter (why do they call it that? Things that make you come HMMM…). Apparently, has the soul of the wonderful, saintly Princess Boa in her body but of course, nobody noticed. Figures.
Boa—Where do I start? Has been leeching, I mean, accompanying, young Candy for 16 years but never informed her of her presence. But I can see the logic in that. All of a sudden you hear a voice in your head…and it's not yours.
Carrion—Apparently dead but I don't think he is. Hey, if Boa can come back so can he. Obsessively in love with Boa (for some reason). Killed Boa the 1st time. Painfully. Personally, I would have married Carrion over Finnegan, especially if my refusal would result in death.
Malingo—Candy (and I guess Boa's) best friend. Candy and (oh, ok, I'll give Boa this one) kind of saved his life but I think he was doing pretty good on his own. Kind of saved Candy's life, actually. Candy keeps getting into trouble because Boa's a bad influence.
Mischief and Company—friend of Candy's. Brought her to the Abarat to begin with. Then abandoned her when they got there. Then they found her again.
Mater Motley—Carrion's evil grandmother. Has it out for Candy/Boa. I think she has it out for everybody. Has some silly plan about taking over the Abarat. Couldn't have guessed that one.
Finnegan—also in love with Boa but unlike Carrion and the rest of the world, does not know that she resides in Candy's body. I actually thought it was kind of obvious, about Boa. I knew since the what, the first book, that something was up. No surprises there.
Diamanda, Joephi, and Mespa—apparently responsible for Boa's un-demise. I'm still wondering why they did that. I don't think they even know, they way they talk about it. Like to play with Candy's mind.
Melissa—Candy/Boa's mother. Actually let Diamanda and Co. put the soul of a complete stranger in her unborn daughter's body. I wonder if she ever tried having an exorcism…
Letheo—Carrion's servant (I think) but also kind of likes Candy/Boa (I think). Which puts him in a rather tough place, no? I'm surprised Carrion actually kept him around. But I suppose that's because he's the only person who can actually catch Candy/Boa and live. He's done it, what, twice now?
Henry Murkitt—killed himself because his wife, Diamanda kind of sort of left him. Not that he could find another woman and get on with his life. Speaking of getting over the cruel people who don't love us, a similar situation happened with Christopher Carrion except he wasn't the one doing the dying.
A/N: Well, that's all for now. I might go back and add some more people once I give it a think. I wrote this in like 10 minutes. I showed it to my friends and they thought it was hilarious (I don't see why; I think only one of them has even heard of Abarat). So I put it on here. Does this even qualify as fanfiction? Oh, and don't tell me about the grammar, I know.
