Boss had planned a surprise for Hamtaro and the other Ham-Hams. All the hamsters whispered and murmured what they thought was happening.
"Ok, everyone, settle down!" Boss said. The noise went down to an occasional cough here and there.
"All right, we are going on a boat trip!" After that sentence all the hamsters started eagerly telling the person next to them what they'd do on the boat trip.
"I can work on my tan!" said Bijou.
"I can go fishing!" said eager and hesitant Cappy.
The entire gang started babbling about what they'd do.
"Hold it-" Boss started.
They kept on and on..
"ENOUGH!"
The hamsters stood quietly and stared at Boss.
"Thank you," Boss coughed, " I'm sad to say this, but I can't bring all of you."
They all let out a sigh, feeling rejected.
"I have a list of hamsters I am bringing along. Now, I don't like you any less than another hamster if you don't go."
As Boss went down the list, Cappy stared at Sandy. His heart sank at the sight of her, and he began to daydream.. Cappy dreamt that he went everywhere with Sandy; to beaches, carnivals, and movies. Just when in his little dream world when he was finally getting to the part he dreamed of, kissing her, someone said, "Cappy!"
"Huh?" Cappy's little dream bubble popped away.
"You get to go on the boat trip."
"Oh, yeah! I knew that!" Cappy said as he went up to the stage Boss was on with the other chosen hams. The others started to cackle a little bit, and Cappy hid his face under his hat. He pulled it up and stared at Sandy until he saw Maxwell noticed his staring. He quickly looked up at the ceiling and pretended he didn't even notice Maxwell. Cappy took a quick glimpse at Sandy and she waved at him. Cappy turned around and looked down at his feet and fidgeted. Sandy looked confused.
"It'll never happen.." Cappy thought, "Especially with Maxwell dating Sandy.."
"And Howdy!" Boss finished the list.
That left everyone except Pashmina, Penelope, Sandy, and Bijou.
"Hey, what about us?" Sandy spat when Boss turned around, "You just took all the guys. Why not one of us?"
"Well, you see here," Boss said in his most intelligent-like voice, "This is a not any other ordinary boat trip. We are sailing to find treasure on a far away island. We'll face many challenges like storms and being raided by evil Aztec pirates-that type of stuff. We don't need girls to come along and just weigh us down, right fellas?"
"Yeah!" All the males except Cappy, Panda, and Hamtaro.
"Um, Boss?" Cappy tapped him on the shoulder.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"Can you bring Sandy along? She is one of those not afraid-type of girls, you know what I mean?" Cappy whispered to Boss, hoping he'd get a chance at kissing her (w00t! Get R done!).
"Listen, Cappy, I already explained why she can't come, so shut up, before I kick you off too."Boss whispered.
"SO WHAT DOES GENDER MEAN?" Cappy yelled at Boss. All the hams gasped.
"If you want to go be a little girly-girl, go join them!" Boss pointed to the girls.
"Fine, I will!" Cappy said.
"What a nerd.." Maxwell said, whom had no room to talk when he was one himself.
Cappy turned around and flipped Maxwell off.
"Why you son of a-" Maxwell went over and hit Cappy. Cappy fell to the ground and Maxwell kicked him over and over. The hamsters all crowded around in a circle, and the majority of them yelled, "Fight! Fight! Fight!"
Sandy couldn't take it anymore seeing the two people she cared about most fighting. She pushed Maxwell aside and said, "Stop! Leave him alone!"
The hamsters all stopped yelling and it was silent.
