Cherry Blossoms fell from the sky. The sun shined down on everyone. Today was a celebration. But for one there was nothing to celebrate
He had lost the one he loved. Her sweet smiling face was lost from his memory. Her laughter no longer echoed through his mind. He couldn't see her anymore. Her, the love of his life, the one who had healed his broken heart. The one who had given everything she had just to stay with him. The one who had loved him, just as he was.
Everyone around him danced and sang. Glory filled their hearts. But sadness and pain filled his.
He had lost her. He had let her fade away in middle of the night. The days had past and his sanity left him. He was sure that she would return. That she wasn't gone, even though he had seen her slip away. He had felt her warm hands turn cold. Death had claimed her.
He sat up against a tree, rocking back and forth. He had become insane long ago. His friends were worried but could do nothing. The most they could do was keep watch over him. He sat mumbling to himself.
For two years he had been like that, quiet and unmoving. Silence and emptiness clouded his mind.
Everyone was happy, but not him.
He stood up and staggered away from everyone. He had to find her. He tripped and stumbled until he came to a cliff. He sat down and closed his eyes. A small noise escaped his throat. He had to find her. He promised.
He crawled over to the edge and looked down.
A noise came from behind him and his friends stepped onto the cliff.
"Don't do it. She wouldn't want you to."
He stifled a laugh. "I have to be with her." He looked at his friends and smiled. It was the first time he had smiled after she had died. "I love her." With those words he fell back off the edge of the cliff.
His friends ran forward and tried to catch him, but they were too late.
He fell and fell. Soon, he saw her again, her smiling face; her joyous laughter and her beautiful face. He smiled a truly happy smile.
