"There was a couple minutes... back at the squad, when we got the call... I thought I'd lost you. Scared the hell out of me."
"Hey, haven't you heard? I was born with a horseshoe up my ass."
"Man, I'm trying to be serious here," he says, almost trying to be angry with his partner.
"I'm sorry."
He looks hard at the man before him before turning away. "'S'all right. I mean... I just didn't want to lose you like that, you know?"
He nods. "I know."
"I just... I..." He struggles with the words.
