Well I know I'm not the best about updating quickly, BUT I will tell you that Reasonswhy77 is back and will be doing a better job (at least until my performances pick up again) Here's one for the 004 fans.

Christmas is a word that usually touches one's heart. I know it touches everyone else's. It touches mine too, but in a different place. As I sit here alone on Christmas Eve, I think about all of the Christmas' I had shared with my beautiful Hilda and all the ones I can't ever share again. I remember the first one I ever experienced with her…

"Albert don't be silly, they'll love you! Just like I do." Hilda stood on tiptoe to give him a kiss.

"Ahhh I don't know Hilda, I always get tongue-tied around parents."

"I don't think they could hate you if they tried." She turned and knocked on the door of her parent's house. Albert took a deep breath as he waited anxiously for it to open.

"So this is the boy eh?" A man opened the door. He was grinning from ear to ear and had a warm look in his eye. "Come in you two and get warm! It's freezing out there." Albert grinned back at the man he understood to be Hilda's father.

"Are they here?" a woman called from a cozy kitchen.

"Yes me'dear!" The woman appeared soon after the reply. She smiled kindly at Albert and rushed to give them both hugs.

"Welcome Albert, and welcome my lovely girl! I hope you've come with empty bellies because we've got plenty to fill them with!" Albert couldn't help but grin. This wasn't as bad as he thought it would be…

"Hilda I miss you every day," I say aloud. I know she isn't there, but somehow I know she can hear me. "Christmas just makes it all the harder Hilda." Somehow this quiet conversation makes me feel at peace. "You always knew how to make me smile. You always knew how to make anyone feel warm inside, despite the conditions of our country or the chill of the weather. Do you make them smile all the brighter in heaven Hilda? Do you make them sing all the sweeter?" Tears run down my face. "Can you make me smile, can you make me sing?" The voices of my fellow Cyborgs flow out from the house. I can hear them all: The delicateness of 003, the warmness of 009, the off-key notes from 002; every one of them. Some how I know that Hilda is with me. I can hear her voice in my ears; I feel her presence beside me. I look away from the house and up to the night sky. I see the brightest star glimmering brighter than them all.

"Merry Christmas Hilda…I love you too."

Ok I hope that wasn't too cliché. I also hope that switching from first person to third person wasn't too confusing or irritating. Anyways, Happy Holidays everyone, and I hope you enjoy yourselves!
