Hello everyone! Alrighty, now that I've finished Chapter 2 on Tainted Strings, I have to start writing Chapter 3. I haven't started yet... but hopefully I shall finish it in a couple of weeks or so! 3 Until then, still posting more drabbles. Here is when that I thought was kinda cute: enjoy!

This week's theme is ... HOLD ME CLOSE.

The simple gift of touch, our first comfort. But what of those isolated from half of all the people they meet, denied the reassurance of a loving embrace from mother or father, girlfriend or boyfriend, wife or husband? What of the embrace that is not physical at all? What holds us close, what is held close, the embrace that holds us all together...

One week, one hundred words, one touching challenge. What will you hold close to you?

Title: One Prayer
Rating: PG
Character: Hatsuharu
Warning: Hint at Spoilers around 106, a bit before and after I think.

Hatsuharu, his eyes staring skyward, sits in deep contemplation outside of the main Sohma compound. His fingers caress a piece of black hair as he silently prays.

The young man never prays, but yet he asks Kami-sama for forgiveness and peace. Forgiveness for their past sins and future peace for her troubled soul. The prayer, in his heart, becomes quick and desperate, pleading to the holy presense for one last chance.

Trembling, Hatsuharu ends his request to God and touches the strands of hair again for comfort. Perhaps Kami-sama will hear the powerful need in his voice and answer him...?
