Mistakes aka An Immortals Rant
It happens everyday; someone doesn't get the memo, or was never told something of vital importance. Sometimes the person just wasn't paying attention, or they didn't understand what they were supposed to do. Mistakes happen all the time, to mortals.
But The Powers That Be? They don't make mistakes, as a rule. Yet they've been making them right and left with two people. Their own champions! That's right people; I'm here to fix this mess that The Powers That Be can't seem to fix. Fools.
It all started with getting those two together. For some reason they didn't think the slayer and vampire would fall in love. I'm not sure how they over looked that, it's how they got the vampire to help! But that's not the worst thing! See after he lost his soul and was about to bring hell on earth, I did a bit of 'clean up'. The little witch friend was casting the recursing spell, when I kind of toke over. I made it so that his soul was permanent. No clause.
But did they pay any attention? No, instead of watching like their supposed to, they decided to 'plan ahead'. They got it in their minds that the slayer and vampire couldn't be together. So they set it up so that he left and got a messenger to guide him away from his soul mate! Now it's not the messenger's fault, he can't control his visions.
So, again, I do a little work and get them in the same city. That worked great! The fools poisoned his mind, and made him think that hiding would be better than letting her know he was there. Like she wouldn't find out and get pissed at him! The worst thing they did was when the idiotic Powers turned back time so that he never became mortal! They were supposed to give him vampire senses and strengths. Not kill him again!
But it's okay. I've fixed it again, and this time they can't do anything. I gave the slayer dreams of their day, she will remember soon, and then my first gift will not be ruined by anymore interference. They belong together and always have. They were told of this slayer's coming centuries ago, and yet do not know she had come! Oh, well. She and her mate will reunite soon and then fulfill their destinies. Whether the Powers are ready for it or not!
Ok so I wrote this a while ago, but didn't want to post it at the time. However now I feel that I should post something for you guys. In case you can't tell the italics mean The Powers That Be. I'm not adding to this, it's done. But if you want to know who is talking guess and I'll tell you when I post the next thing!
Note: I'm sorry but my other fic (my main one) is on hold till I get my hard drive back. Long story. Anyway, I've got things that I wrote years ago that I will read through and tweak a little. But that's all you'll get from me unless I give up waiting and just redo it all. Sigh…
