As usual Ritsuka couldn't find Soubi whenever he wanted to find the older man. Soubi had a habit of always appearing when Ritsuka didn't want him there and never appearing when he WANTED him there. He searched everywhere where he thought Soubi would be, but no luck. And as usual the older man wasn't picking up his phone.
'Soubi you liar,' sulked Ritsuka.
Ritsuka stopped for a moment and looked up. It was beginning to snow again. A heavy snowfall had come earlier in the morning, blanketing everything in white. Now it was just lightly falling from heaven. Ritsuka held his hand out to catch a falling snowflake.
Snow… It reminded him of Soubi… and at the same time it didn't. Soubi was unpredictable, coming, going, disappearing and appearing whenever he wanted; the same way snowflakes would fall. There one minute, gone the next. Snow was cold, a sharp pain of iciness that would quickly disappear. Soubi was like that too. His words and false promises, they in turn hurt Ritsuka. Snow was dangerous, and like snow Soubi was as well. But, no matter how dangerous snow was… something kept drawing Ritsuka back to Soubi.
But Soubi was different from snow. Ritsuka knew the older man would never be as pure as snow. Soubi's hands were stained by blood from consent battles.
But…
Soubi was Soubi… nothing could change that.
Ritsuka decided he was happy that Soubi was Soubi. Of course that didn't do much to soothe his frustration that he couldn't find the older man!
Then out of the corner of his eye Ritsuka saw a blue butterfly flutter by. Ritsuka turned around. He didn't know butterflies could survive in this cold.
Except… when he turned around he didn't see a butterfly. He saw Soubi.
"Ritsuka," said Soubi mildly surprised. The older man was just heading towards Ritsuka's house to surprised the younger cat boy.
Ritsuka just stood there for a minute, surprised as well. "Soubi!" An awkward silence passed for a second before Ritsuka asked in a slightly softer voice, "Where were you? I was looking all over for you!"
Soubi smiled. "School. Today was my finals remember Ritsuka?"
Ritsuka paused. Now that he thought about Soubi did mention something about finals… and Ritsuka had never though about checking Soubi's school… Ritsuka wanted to hit himself for a moment. He had finals at school today as well and it never crossed his mind, that Soubi would have finals.
Ritsuka then just shove something into stomach, not looking Soubi in the eye, far too embarrassed to say anything. A light red blush stained his face as his tail flickered back and forth.
Soubi blinked, surprised once more. "Ritsuka?"
"From me to you. It's your Christmas gift," Ritsuka mumbled.
Soubi smiled and took the gift. Then he lean down and kissed Ritsuka on the forehead. "Arigatoo Ritsuka-kun."

I hope this went well… This was my first time writing Loveless characters so they're probably all out of character. I apologize for grammar mistakes (couldn't send it to my beta cause this is my beta's Christmas gift).
Oh and the spelling of arigatoo don't argue with me on that one. When pronounced/written in Japanese arigatoo does have a long o sound. It's just when people write it in English they sometimes forget the second o and write it as arigato.
