Listen to your Heart

Leia quietly slipped out of the Ewok hut as Luke had several minutes ago. Spotting him she ran over.

"Luke?" She whispered sliding her arm around his waist.

"Leia." He turned around to look at her, slipping out of her embrace. "Do you remember your mother?"

"Of course." Leia said, surprised at the question. "She didn't die until I was ten."

"Your real mother." Luke corrected. "What was she like?"

"She was," Leia paused for a minute as Luke strode over to the edge of the bridge. "Kind, beautiful, sad, and well, she seemed unhappy with her life if you know what I mean." Leia broke off, looking at Luke. "Why do you ask me this?"

He turned to her, his expression unreadable. "I don't remember my mother."

"Luke what's wrong?" Leia asked, visibly troubled.

"This won't be easy for you Leia, if the press found out they would have a field day." He stopped, pulling a data-pad out of his pocket. "It's better if I just show you." He sat down beside her, activating a file that made Leia gasp.

"Luke, that's a family tree." She broke off as she read Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, her eyes followed the line that connected him to Luke Skywalker. "He's your father." She said in a horrified stage-whisper. "And mine." Her slim fingers gently traced the line that tied the three together. "But-" She did a double take as a double gold line of marriage connected Vader to a black space.

"We don't know who our mother is." Luke trailed off, not being able to cause his sister more pain. "Leia, this won't be easy for you to hear but you must. If I don't make it back, you're the only hope for the Allience." She nodded.

He stood up to go, but Leia caught his arm, "That's it?" She said softly. "No, 'I love you Leia', no, 'Have faith in the Force' kind of thing?"

"You're becoming a Jedi little sis." Luke grinned. "But, I have one more thing."

"What?" She asked, as he turned to go.

His parting words were, "Listen to your heart."
