Author's note: I revised it, felt like it was sort of lacking. So here it is.

Daniel walked into the lab, distraught over its previous owner's death. It was his and Teal'c's duty to clean out the offices of their lost friends, and Daniel needed to check the lab for any of her personal items.
P4X-661 was uninhabited, but the MALP was detecting a large naquada deposit not far from the gate. Earth had several uses for that deposit, so it was added to the roster of worlds that should be explored as soon as possible. Hammond was scheduling teams for off-world missions, and seeing the probability statistics being zero to none for an attack on this planet, he placed it on SG1's mission list. They needed a break anyways.
As he fiddles with the rubix cube on the desk, he recognizes a book he's seen before. It's hers. He slowly picks it up and pulls out the book mark. It's only a small folded piece of paper. He opens it and reveals a telephone number and the words: Cabin Phone. Curious, he picks up the lab phone.
"Ahhhh, you smell that Danny boy! That is fresh air!" Jack was practically bouncing. Hammond even allowed him to bring a fishing pole! Sam had finished her naquada sampling and was sitting under something that looked like a cross between a maple and an oak reading 'A Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy.'
He doesn't acknowledge Teal'c's shadow blocking the doorway, only paying attention to the handset he was holding.
The shooting started soon after Jack, in his excursion to find a nice lake to fish in, stumbled upon a dozen or so Jaffa. They had most of their gear still packed, so all that was left was a fishing pole, several books, and a small stockpile of vanilla candles. But not more than a quarter mile from the gate, Jack's knee gave out. "O'Neill!" "JACK!" Teal'c yelled out, seeing his friend fall, catching the attention of Sam and Daniel. "I'll get him!" shouted Sam sprinting the few yards back. Daniel struggled to go back but Teal'c bodily threw him through the Gate after dialing one-handed. Making sure his remaining teammates were on their way to the gate, he stepped through.
After three rings, he was about to hang up, when the answering machine picked up. Her familiar voice filters through the speaker.
Just as Sam had got Jack to the gate, the Jaffa had cleared the crest of the small hill behind them and had a clear shot. "Where are they?" Daniel questioned from the ramp beneath the Stargate as Teal'c stepped out of the wormhole. Suddenly Sam and Jack both fell through the watery surface, hitting the ramp violently.
"Hi, this is Sam and Jack O'Neill, we're at work right now, so leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible."
Sam crawled to Jack's side, resting her head on his chest as her last breath seeped out of her lungs. Daniel and Teal'c just stared in shock at the smoking vests and the blood pooling under the ramp, not believing that their friends were gone.
Shocked, Daniel hangs up the phone. "They were together, and they never told us," Daniel says calmly, filled with more grief at his realization.
"Yes, DanielJackson, and I believe they are together now."
A soft breeze brushes the back of the two friends' necks. Smiling they shut the door and the lights click off.
"For eternity"
