She sat silently in the darken cave trying to wrap her arm trying to stop the bleeding snow began to fall heavily now. She curled up beside a rock she was hidden behind as her eyes closed weakly.

He walked out of the forested area and found himself standing in rocky foothills. He walked forward as night began to fall. "Surely Inuyasha can't be far from here, I'll have to be quick." He looked around then came to a stop. "Where would I go if I were injured?" he noticed a few small rock formations before spotting a cave. "Heh..." She struggled to keep herself up only to fall to her side breathing weakly. He walked into the cavern. The cramped quarters contained many smells. "I might not have a demons sense of smell, but I can notice blood." he walked further in only to notice a crumpled figure. Her eyes opened slowly looking up to him weakly struggling to get up.

He leans down and picks her up by the front of her shirt in one hand. "Hey, I know you, you're that girl that's always with Inuyasha. Where is he?" She stayed silent as she looked into his eyes before trying to pull away.

"Hmph..." he looks at her arm. "Allow me to guess. You're gonna blame me for that. Well keeping quiet won't help him, or you, but if you tell me where he is maybe I'll save you before you bleed to death."

"Your brothers... slain him and the others..." She spoke almost above a whisper.

"So you're the last one left?" he asks sternly. "And be truthful."

"...I am..." Her eyes close halfway as blood rolls down her lips. He closes his eyes and sets her down reaching into his armor pulling out Jakotsu's hairpin. He stares at it a moment then sets it back. He tears off pieces off his clothing forming crude bandages and wraps them around her arm.

She looked to him weakly. "...Where is Jakotsu..."

"As far as I know your half-demon friend got him before the others could finish him." he tied the bandages tightly then sat down. "You shouldn't go out...it's snowing."

"...Jakotsu slain Inuyasha... I seen him..."

"Don't try that on me, Renkotsu told me he saw Inuyasha kill Jakotsu, he said he was right there."

"... Then why would I be covered with Inuyasha's blood..."

"You mean to tell me Renkotsu would lie to me?" he laughed, "The Shichinin-tai are all friends, why would he lie...unless." he touched the jewel shard in his neck.

Watches him staying put. "... I wouldn't lie to the one who has my life in his hands..."

"Renkotsu stole Jakotsu's shard...he killed him...didn't he? I knew Jakotsu would never lose to a half-demon. He must have been betrayed." he looks at Kagome, "When this snow clears you're going to take me to Renkotsu."

"...Why would I know where he is?" She spoke weakly staring into his eyes sadly.

"Renkotsu will be gloating near where Inuyasha died...if you're covered in his blood you know where that is." he smirked "It's a much better option than me killing you."

"...I ran through a storm and you expect me to find his body it has to be covered in snow by now..."

The look in his eyes changed from a look of vengeance to defeat, "So you have no idea where it is...?"

She shook her head sadly. "...The last words Inuyasha told me when he laid over my body was to play dead until they left... Then run."

He sat down look out the cave entrance as the snow began to come down harder. "My name's Bankotsu...I never caught yours." he decided if he was stuck here he might as well start a conversation.

"...Kagome, but why would you want to know your only going to slay me..."

"My orders were to kill Inuyasha's group, Koga, and Sesshoumaru. There isn't really an Inuyasha's group without Inuyasha now is there?"

"...No, but you still kill for the fun of it..."

"Do you want to die or something? Besides...what's the point in killing...Jakotsu's dead..."

"...If you have the shard you can bring him back."

He shakes his head, "I would need to find the body..."
