This was just kind of a random idea that I had, I know most of you aren't big fans of Bill, well that's ok, i'm not either.

Disclaimer: I don't own Michelle or Bill or the song.

I'm sittin here alone
Thoughts of you run wild
I'm longin for your touch
Holded by your smile
No use tryin to erase
No one could ever take your place

Well I remember how it used to feel
back when our love was strong and real
And I remember tears in your eyes
As I looked at you and said goodbye
All I want right now is to forget
Every single thing that I regret
And drown out these embers..but I remember

Michelle's keys jingled in her pocket, in motion to the way she walked. It had been four months, four months since she had made the hardest decision in her life, four months since she had left him.

She looked down, her dress was swaying softly in the breeze, the fingers of the hand that laced hers squeezed her palm lightly. Michelle looked up, staring straight into those translucent blue eyes, so unaccustomed of the way they looked over her face. She had wondered many times why she was with Bill, he was wonderful yes, but Michelle knew the real reason. It was locked away, never to be found, in a part of her mind that she rarely visited. The place where all the pain was stored, the place where her only thoughts were occupied by her ex husband's face. She allowed herself to be swept away in her own thoughts for a moment, remembering only the long forgotten touch of Tony's hand on hers, the lightness of it, the amazing thought that one touch could make her whole body quiver.

Bill looked over at her uncertainly, "Are you alright?" he asked. Michelle nodded. "I'm fine." Bill smiled and gently caressed her hand, while Michelle leaned on his shoulder. No she was not fine, in fact she was not anywhere near it. Although Bill and her had been together for over a month now, she still was trying to get used to the idea of her new life. Michelle looked down at her left hand, never had it felt so bare. Bill was the only thing in her life that felt like it was stable. He was so good to her, so kind, so gentle, but never in all her life, had Michelle thought it would come down to this.

"Here we are." He said, stopping at the glass doors to her apartment complex. "Thanks for everything." Michelle said giving him a smile. She suddenly realized that her hand was still in his. Michelle felt the gaze burning on her face, and lifted her eyes to meet his, and a moment later she felt Bill's lips on hers. The kiss was light, and as he pulled away, Michelle felt her eyes grow wide. "Good night." Bill said. Michelle heard herself whisper, "Night."

Her whole body was in shock. "You're divorced remember?" she told herself forcefully. "You didn't do anything wrong." She fumbled around for her keys to the apartment, and heard the lock click open. After setting her purse down, she quickly lowered herself onto the bed. The tears arrived soon, burning like acid, down her cheeks. "Look at yourself, you're a mess." She told herself. "It's your own fault you left him, he didn't care enough about you enough to stop drinking remember?" Michelle gripped the pillow. It had been her first kiss since she was divorced, and needless to say, she hated every moment of it.
