She walked thru the quiets streets of Storm Wind, unsure of her path.

She thought she knew what the way of the paladin meant.Of late she was unsure of her skills and her role in the holy light.

Her skills often failed her these days ,whether from lack of skill or devotion she knows not.She still believed in the way of light ,still holds it ways sacred. She wonders how she could so have lost her way.She decides her best choice is to go speak with Lord Shadowbreaker her teacher and family friend. It is because of him she chose the way of light. He was all the noble tales of paladins roled into a human vessel.

She woke the next morn and headed to the Cathedral of light. She speaks with Lord Shadowbreaker.

"Child your doubts or not news to me, I have suspected for a time you were having a crisis of faith,"he tells her." We do not force those who dont feel the call to stay but I ask one last task of you before you make your final decision"
She can not deny his request,"if it is within my power to complete it

,milord I will."

"Good,"he says,"speak with Matron Nightingale over at the orphanage there is a child who has need of your protection and guidence."

"Milord," she protests," how that be?"

"The child 's parents were in my employ as merchants, thier caravan was attacked coming thru Darkshire the little girl was the only surviver. She has relatives in Ashenvale. I wish you to take her there."

"But milord would not a more experienced palidan be a better choice for such a task?"

"No I wish it to be you , I have my reasons and if you still wish to leave the church when you return I will ask Bishop Farthing to release you from your vows."he promised.

"Yes, milord," she bows and takes her leave.

She heads across the square to the orphange to speak to Matron Nightingale.

"Please wait here, noble palidan, I have been expecting you. I will go get Fennore."

Fennore(ghost) who would name a child that and how did her lord expect this task to help her problem, she thinks to herself. She hears footsteps and looks up and is suprised by what she sees. A child no more than eight or so, pale as the undead of Tristfal Glade. Dark haired and eyed she lives up to her name. But is the girls eyes that shock her the most. Pools of pain and despair so endless you could drown in them.

She feels anger and rage that one so young should be even more lost hen herself, so much hopelessness reflected in the childs face. . She does not know if she can do this task her lord has given her, but she thinks for as much the childs sake as hers she will do her best.

"Go to the Guilded Rose by the gate speak to Innkeeper Allison , she will provide you with supplies and go by the counting house for your traveling money," says the matron.

She takes her meager possesion and tries to think of something reassuring to say.She smiles at the child and holds out her hand and is suprised that the child shows no hesitation in taking it.She looks at the little girl and amazingly for the briefest of moments she smiles . The paladins heart aches and rejoices at the childs smile. Because for the first time in along time she sees and feels the light that brought her to the way of light. She smiles back at the little girl and they head to Stormwind Inn.
Embur looks at the child so trustingly holding her hand an wonders ,two lost souls on a long journey. How will it end?
