Not Quite Perfect
Everything's always about perfect with you, isn't it? Picture perfect, practice makes perfect, perfect, perfect, PERFECT! Every little thing always has to be so right about you doesn't it? Not a hair out of place, no wrinkles in your clothes, you're always perfectly on time, and of course, you just have to be brilliant.
Not that I don't secretly love it though. Of course I do. But you just don't know how frustrating it gets to always be one-upped by you on anything possible.
You don't have to be perfect, you know? At least not around me. I know, everyone out there who knows what you're capable of expects you to achieve more next time. But everyone out there doesn't include me. Because I actually would love it if you were normal for once.
Nothing can ever be perfect. We are a race of different individuals made up of flaws. To say something is perfect would be a lie. I wish I could tell you that. Whisper it in your ear while you're sleeping. Then the message would be imbedded in your brain, and in the morning when you wake up, you'll be able for the first time, to decide that it's too early to get up, and you'll fall back asleep.
What I see when I look at you could very well be the definition of perfect. Your chocolate colored hair is so neatly trimmed and smooth, and it falls quietly over your beautiful sapphire eyes. You have a clear and defined face, and it is just as gorgeous as your tall, slim body. Powerful arms and legs, that have faced tough challenges.
But you have scars. Tiny scars, that no one but I, can see. Every little cutting challenge that you have faced has left an uncoverable scar on your withering heart. I'd like to heal you, really I would. But I know that you'd just push me away again.
I know, because you've done it before.
But I can help you. And I'm trying. And some day, when you're not looking, I'm going to sneak past your defenses and surprise you.
Because Seto, no one can be perfect.
This was intended to be a one-shot, but I may continue it in the future if people wish, using other POVs on different characters.
