Journal Of Shade

Chapter One: A Very Annoying Few People

By: Snipe

I was on a hard surface, very sturdy. Yet the surface was still moving, what could be doing this. I opened my eyes to see.

I was laying on a hard wooden floor, I wasn't alone either, I turned over and saw a foot an a knee. Someone was over top of me, shaking me.

"We're here. Are you all right? Wake up. Wake up!"

Clearly this man was getting anxious, being the kind gentleman that I am, I decided to get up and save him the worry.

"I'm up, I'm up." I said, standing up. When I had adjusted my eyes, I saw I was in what was clearly, the hull of a ship.

"What's your name?" asked the Dark elf standing in front of me.

"I'm Shade. Who are you?" I asked politely.

"Well, I heard them say we've reached Morrowind. I'm sure they'll let us go."

"Well, that's dandy. Who are you?" I asked, more forcefully this time.

"Quiet, here comes the guard." He continued, as though he had learnt what he was saying by heart.

"What the hell is your name! Don't make me kill you!" I started screaming.

"This is where you get off, come with me." Said a guard who had just walked down into our charming cell. "And if you start shouting like that again, I'll just have to push you overboard."

"Hey don't get cross with me! This guy is just weird. He wouldn't even tell me his name after I told him!" I said, annoyed.

"Well that's just plain rude!" said the guard, taking my side, and turning to the strange man. "Why would you expect mister Juib here, to tell YOU his name, commoner scum?" I was defiantly starting to get the feeling that all of the people on this ship were brain dead, or drunk, or possibly high, or any combination of the three.

"Get yourself up on deck, and let's keep this as civil as possible." Said the guard, wrapping his arms around Juib.

"No problem!" I said loudly, and I ran out of my cell before anything too graphic for my stomach happened.

Well, that's slightly longer than before, I decided instead of writing out something new, I'd just use the same first chapter, paste it in a new file, and make it longer. Due to the unfortunate twist, I had to scrap the somewhat lengthier chapter I had before. Now, none of my readers will be able to see it. (sob). Oh yes, and in regards to what happened to the original "Shade", I accidentally saved over his file, with one belonging to a Bosmer, under the name, "Jo Po". He was lost as well in a frenzied deleting of all useless files. Sorry this took so long, something weird was going on with the site, and it wouldn't let me sign the thing on as a new chapter.
