Oh. The day he came up to our table is a day I don't think my brain will let me forget. He looked so…..good walking with his broad shoulders, strong arms. God and his eyes, mmmmm I could just look at them for hours…..but not now. Anyways I remember it was September 2nd just a few short weeks after school had come into session. Every girl ok not ever girl but most girls had always looked up to James, of course who wouldn't? Gryffindor qudditch captain, straight A student, charming smile, got the body and personality. Scratch that I lied. His personality is about the depth of water in the shallow end of the kids pool. You'll see what I mean. He came up to our table where Trixi and I were sitting gossiping about what guys we should take as our dates to the first dance of the year-Homecoming. It was to be after the quidditch game between Slytherian and Gryffindor on Septemeber 11th. We stopped mid-sentence when he came up to us. Trixi recovered first eager to flirt a little bit with James. However, James didn't even look at her or even acknowledge that she was there..he was looking straight at me and smiling. That's when in front of everyone EVERYONE he asked me to be his date to Homecoming. Leaving no doubt in anyone's mind who James seemed to looking at…

Of course she said yes. I was little relieved you know? Like what guy doesn't get a little scared before asking a girl out to a dance or to anything? Well that was only the first part of what I thought was a good plan…get her to see that I was "interested" in her. Even though at the time I wasn't. After that day, I would leave little notes on the desk at whatever class she'd be in next. I would take her out to lunch whenever we were allowed to go off campus. I listened to what her views were on every little thing. At first I thought she was just some dumb little school girl, but as I got to know her better I learned that she was the farthest thing from dumb, that her views were actually pretty good. I knew I liked her, but I didn't like her enough to stop my plan. My eyes were on Lily, however my heart was at the time was set on Trixi.
