"Mmm….Kagome…." mumbled the one behind her in his sleep as he pulled her even closer.
'Oh my God! It wasn't a dream! Shit! Shit! Shit!' She screamed in her thoughts as realization hit her! 'Wait Kagome…calm down' she tried to reason with herself… She took a couple of deep breaths… 'All I have to do is try to get up, grab some cloths…maybe he won't remember…'
She managed to turn around without waking him up. 'Damn he's so cute when he was asleep!' she thought looking at his sleeping form, a smile on his face, and those cute fuzzy ears…
She'd had a crush on him for as long as she could remember. They'd been childhood friends, grown up together. They were always together. Her best friend always told her they'd make a great couple and god knows how she dreamed of asking him but was always afraid of ruining their friendship.
'Great! Just great Kagome!' she scolded herself… 'You just had to get drunk and sleep with him! There goes your friendship! I'm going to kill Miroku for bringing all that Tequila…he bloody well knows that I can't drink it'
She was so wrapped up in her thoughts that she did notice the pair of golden eyes staring at her…
"Err…good morning?" said Inuyasha groggily snapping Kagome out her thoughts… He wasn't really sure whether he was still dreaming or not…
"Erm… Happy New Year" she said for lack of better words…
This seemed to wake up Inuyasha…Last night's event came crashing in his mind with very vivid images of him and her…'Oh crap! It wasn't a dream! What the hell am I going to do! She's gonna kill me…' he thought panicking.
"Shit Kags! We didn't… err… we did… oh hell!" was all he could say
Kagome turned red with embarrassment and tried to hide under the sheets dragging it all to herself leaving a very naked Inuyasha bare…
"Hey give me that" he said tugging the sheet... Both of them grabbed either end of the sheet fighting for it with such force that it tore and Kagome ended up on the floor with a thud.
"Ouch!" said Kagome getting up and rubbing her bum then realized Inuyasha was staring at her 'God she's beautiful!'
"Pervert!" she screamed at him grabbing her bed cover to cover herself "Don't look"
"Well it's a bit late for that don't you think?" replied a smiling Inuyasha "And try to keep our voice down… do you want to wake Mirkou?"
"Hell no!" replied a distraught Kagome "And get some clothes on for fuck's sake!"
"I would… but I can't see them anywhere here!"
Kagome tiptoed to the door and peeped out the door… "OH shit! Your clothes are out in the corrider… I can't get them Miroku's in the sitting room… with Sango! Hehe… They don't seem to be in a better state than us!" She shut the door laughing, then stopped feeling his strong arms around her, pulling her close.
"What are you doing?" She said turning around to face him. She stared into his golden eyes, wishing she could tell him how she really felt… not really realizing what she was doing she stood up on her toes and kissed him…Inuyasha kissed her back, hugging her close like there was no tomorrow. They broke apart for air…
Inuyasha smiled, picked her up bridal style and whispered "Happy New Year Kags!" and carried her back to bed.
