Earth was a good place to land. I hadn't a companion since I regnerated and I'll admit it - I was lonely. Perhaps someone that didn't need saving every second would be a nice change, though. Lets see...ah. Earth, somewhere in the nineties. Shouldn't run into anyone who's helpless there...
But aparently there are many pickpockets. The little runt tried to make off with my watch even though he couldn't decipher it if his little mind depended on it. Of course, it would be great fun watching him go nuts. It would be so simple. but humans arn't known for using their brains.
He came back to the Tardis with me. For once my companion didn't mention the Tardis was larger on the inside. He did, however, wave his arms around for the wall. Not hitting anything, he turned to me with a grin and asked, "You a magician?"
Magician! Of all the insults ... I'm a Time Lord. We don't need magic. Stupid runt.
He was good as humans went. Never listened properly, always running off on his own, but he was smarter then I thought he would be and he was fearless. Unfortiantly he wasn't as stable as I thought he was.On the planet Bantorrivikashanilor we did exactly as we where ordered; we got rid of them. I admit it wasn't smart to laugh as the planet fell to ruin, but I had just remembered a very good joke involving fire, water, and a little girl who outsmarted them...
Anyway, Mickey wanted to go home. So I took him back to London, a place that never seemed to change. His mother gave me a thundering slap for taking the runt with me, but she forgave me in the end since he was home safe.
I grudgily left Earth. I considered going back home to liven things up when I felt a wave of pain in my head. I fell to the floor as the Tardis paniced, I could hear her screaming. Confusion is not something I usually feal, but I felt it then, loud and clear.
My memories shifted and suddenly I was alone. My world had fallen, my race was gone and my memories of being in my Nineth changed. Mickey faded, my memories faded and then...
Earth was a good place as any to land. Not that I needed anyone, mind you, but I was getting closer and closer to hating life. Being the last one of a whole universe does that to a person.
Humans had this love for life. I could use some of that right now, but then, humans have a knack for stupidity, too. Getting themselves in trouble, killing themselves off - when they have each other, who needs invasions? Thats why they are such an easy target. If I wasn't so dedicted to saving the moronic apes I'd try to take over as well. It'd be simple, really, all you need is a good sales pitch. They'd buy their own slavery if you had a good enough speach.
Ran into one Rose Tyler, a spunky female that had the human weakness - the love of trouble and no brains to get out of it. Or so I thought. She had the nerve to save me and then - well, couldn't let someone like that get away, now could I?
And why does that boyfriend of hers hate me so much? Becuase I got his girl? I wouldn't even think of it - she IS an animal. He wouldn't do a dog, would he?
Whats his name, anyway? Richie? Rickey?
Mickey?
Ah, yes, Mickey. Why does that sound familar?
