FOREVER

(narrarator)faramir and eowyn met and fell in love in the houses of healing, where they were both recuperating from the black breath. Having both been so close to the shadow seemed to bring them close, and soon their engagement was known to the whole of gondor. everyone rejoiced in the streets when the morn of the wedding arrived, for their hearts were gladdened that their beloved steward had found so lovely and courageous a bride.

(aragorns POV)Oh, that i did not have to suffer this.I wish them both great joy, but my heart will be broken to see them married. for it brings back painful memories, ones that remind me that it should be me, not faramir, at the altar. (eowyn appears) Ah, there she is, the white lady. My breath is stolen away at her beauty. She is like the sun, appearing through a mist of grey rain clouds. How her hair glistenes, how her fair skin glows in the sun. Oh, that i could be faramir, and have such a beauty for a bride.

(nararator)The wedding proceded and at the moment when the couple was pronounced married, there was a sudden hush, for the crowd could tell that this was a sacred moment. After the ceremony, there was a feast and a great mingling of guests, and aragorn and eowyn were face to face.

"wih me joy, my liege lord and healer," said eowyn.

"i have wished thee joy ever since i first saw thee. it heals my heart to see thee now in bliss," replied aragorn.

(aragorns POV)The lady of rohan is fairer than i ever imagined. It pained me so, yet brought such warmth to my heart to see her so joyful. Yet she was joyful not with me, but with faramir. Ah, now i will spend the rest of my life cursing myself for letting her go. For casting away the fairest thing on middle earth. now i shall spend my days wanting what i shall never have. What is now lost to me forever.
