Lets play some Scrabble

Disclaimer: I own Harry Potter. No I don't.
Author's note: I wrote this because I really enjoy playing scrabble. I really don't like writing romance, but I had to to make this story work. It's sort of a parody as well, the few Scrabble stories there are are a bit weird. This was written in about fifteen minutes, so don't expect a literary masterpiece or anything.

Harry had been at the burrow for about two weeks. Every day he noticed how hot Ginny was, but was unable to work up the courage to ask her out again, for fear of rejection and embarrassment. So most of the time, he sat in his room, fantasizing about her and much of the time thinking dirty thoughts about her.

One day, Harry decided his plan of action: get closer to Ginny without making it seem like he was interested in a relationship. Then over the course of a few weeks get to know her better until he was sure that she would not reject him painfully if he expressed his desire to pursue a more intimate relationship with her. And he knew exactly how to make this bold new plan work.

Harry slowly opened the door to Ginny's room. "Could I interest you in a game of Scrabble? It's an absolutely fantastic muggle game that I like quite a bit actually. It's tremendous fun." Ginny looked a little wary, but agreed to try things out. "The rules are simple. We both draw seven letters out of this bag here and put them on our racks." Harry was hesitant about saying the word "racks" but decided that there was really no way around it. "I'll go first. The object of this game is to place words on the board to score points. It will become clearer when I show you."

Harry grabbed hold of four of his tiles and placed them in the middle of the board. "BEAT. That gives me…uhh…twelve points. See how it works? Now I'll draw four more tiles to replenish my…rack, and then it's your turn." Ginny grasped the concept of the game quickly. Her next play was LEFT, which she played through the T in BEAT. "That would give me eleven points. I think I'm liking this game."

"You're getting the hang of it! Now it's my turn," Harry said. He took a while, then put down the word LOVE. He cast a quick glance at Ginny to see what her reaction was. She didn't show much reaction, so he tallied up his score and it was her turn. She played the word INTIMATE using all seven of her letters and playing through the E in BEAT. "You get a fifty point bonus if you use all the tiles on your rack," said Harry. "I think that means you've pulled ahead."

The game continued on for a while. On his seventh turn Harry played the word SHAGGING. He again wondered if Ginny had reacted to this. He looked up to find Ginny staring straight at him. "Mmm…shagging. What a nice word," Ginny said softly. She began to edge closer to Harry. "We should try it sometime."

"Uh, sure thing, Ginny," responded Harry, unsure if he should take Ginny's advances seriously or not. "I'm not kidding, Harry," continued Ginny. "We should really try it sometime," she said as she slipped off her tank top…
