I don't own Teen Titans

TEENTITANS

Christmas. A time of peace, a time of joy, and a time of being with family.

The old lady sat in the rocking chair, silently waiting for her grandchildren to come. The front door banged open, and screeches, yelling and arguing where heard. The old woman smiled and her firstborn's family came into view. Two children with a shock of red hair, and jade eyes immediately ran to the elderly woman, and kissed her on the cheek. Her son also did the same, and he was followed by his wife. The three adults exchanged hellos, and the then they walked into the kitchen. The door opened again, and a burst of cold air hit the woman. A family of 6 walked in, and the ritual was repeated again. Hellos exchanged and the 8 children sat around the old woman, looking at her expectantly.

"Tell us a story, Grandma!" said the 7 year-old.

"Yeah! One about the Teen Titans!" said the 5 year-old.

The eldest, being ten scoffed, and replied "The Teen Titans are stupid. The only stories that are good are real ones."

The Grandmother gave a stern glance and shook her head. "The Teen Titans were real, dear. Let me tell you a story you never heard before."

"Is it about Terra? She's my favorite!"

"No! Raven the best!"

"Not-uh! Beast Boy is. He can turn into cool animals."

"But Cyborg can shoot from his arm!"

"Yeah, well Starfire is from another planet!"

The old lady let the bickering go on for a few minutes before stopping it.

"No. This story is about all of the Titans, and how they stopped the end of the world."

"Grandma, you already told us that one. Remember? At Thanksgiving."

"Oh, right."

"Grandma, have you ever met one of the Teen Titans? For real?"

"Duh! Of course she hasn't. Their not real."

"Yes they are!'

"No their not!"

"Yeah!"

"Not-uh!"

"Yeah!"

"Nope!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"NO!"

YES! YES! YEEEEESSSSSSS!"

"Children! Stop. Now!" the old lady's eyes glowed a slight green, and all the children gasped.

"Grandma. You're like Starfire!"

The old lady gave a small, sad smile, and shook her head.

"No children. I am Starfire."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Can you show us the Star bolts!"

"I-,"

"Please?"

"I guess, but don't tell your parents." Her eyes twinkled, and then turned a fierce green color. The thoughts swirled. The thought of him dieing, Robin, at such a young age. The love she never got to give him. Marrying another man, who she never really loved. Seeing Slade pull the trigger, Robin gasping his last breath.

The explosion was big, and got the attention of all of the adults in the kitchen, who were talking.

"Mother! Are you alright?"

"Yes. I am."

"What happened?"

"Nothing. Just go back to making the ham, alright." Her eyes were smiling, and the two couples reluctantly walked back into the kitchen.

"Grandma, you broke you're favorite ornament." The old Starfire looked up and saw the angel that Robin had given her so long ago in shatters. She gave a small smile. A became lost in her thoughts.

"Grandma?"

She looked up, with tears in her eyes and gave a smile.

"What about that story that I promised? Did I ever tell you about…"
