Night had come already but Gaara hadn't been able to sleep one bit. He was too afraid to loose his mind to the monster within him, not sleeping was almost like a habit now. He wandered down the streets frightened people ran from him everywhere. Gaara hated it, but they always ran always leaving him alone. Soft sobs filled the air as a whip cracked again and again. "Stupid girl! We told you not to come back until you had satisfied the customers now go back and entertain them or the beating will be worse next time!" Gaara had never heard a voice that sounded so unpleasant! even the people who yelled and scream when they saw him seemed nicer. "Hai." The speaker was a little girl younger than Gaara. When he looked, he noticed it was the little girl that had smiled at him yesterday. She got a beating for that too. Gaara watched as the young girl limped back to the loud restaurant and continued to take the customers' orders. Whenever she did something that displeased anyone, her mother would haul her outside and whip her, the customers found it amusing and some of the drunk men paid her mother to let them have a try. Gaara had never seen something so cruel. When a particularly harsh beating occurred, Gaara felt himself getting angry. In an instant the sand flew over and gathered up the broken body of the young girl. That night, Gaara left, taking the girl with him. The parents didn't care, it was just a stupid girl that was forced on them, as long as they had their son, it was fine.
"Gaara-sama?" Gaara turned towards the voice, and opened his eyes to see the prettiest purple eyes he had ever seen. "Gaara-sama?" the girl asked again tilting her head to the right and looking up into Gaara's eyes, "Are you alright?" "I'm fine Kuriaya." The young girl smiled. Such innocence. Gaara just couldn't bring himself to believe that a girl can be so innocent after such extensive abuse. " Kuriaya, we are going to start our training again today."
Yes people I know that it is really short but this is the only way I can work the exsistance of my OC into the story properly.
