Disclaimer: I do not own the Princess Diaries Book or Movie Series', the characters, the trademarks and etc.
Authors Note: I am getting very annoyed with the Clarisse/Joe stories, so that is why I am writing this fic a Mia/Nicholas pairing
Second Authors Note: For the sake of this fic, The Princess Diaries: Royal Engagement never happened.
Introduction:
She had everything a woman could want. Money, power, fame, beauty. She had been a Princess since the age of sixteen, technically since birth but she hadn't found out about it until she was sixteen. She had graduated her private high school the top of her class. She then went on to graduate Harvard University. She had earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Political Science.
She is young, talented, beautiful and royalty, but she has never been 'in love'. Her first crush had been a extremely good-looking-popular-jock named Josh. Her first boyfriend had been her best friend Lily's big brother Michael. She had a boyfriend named Brian during her sophomore year of college. She wasn't in love with any of them, not even Michael who she thought at the time was the love of her life.
She wants a family. She doesn't want to winde up like her grandmother, the Queen of Genovia. Don't get her wrong she loves her grandmother, looks up to her and respects her, though she doesn't want to winde up alone. Her grandmother has many people in her life but she doesn't have that special someone. Even when Mia's grandfather alive, her grandmother didn't have what Mia dreams about. Her grandparents marriage had been an arranged marriage, a marriage of power, a marriage of convenience of sorts.
The only person that Mia knows that even comes close to what she wants is her mother. Her mother had Mia's father while in college, that was a fairy tale with in itself. A 'lowly' (A/N I use that term very, very loosely...) Artist and a Prince fall in love, get married, have a baby. But like every real life fairy tale it gets turned into a soap opera storyline. They get a divorce, then years later a fairy godmother (grandmere) comes in and changes the child's life forever with four little words... You are a Princess.
Her mother now has a great husband named Frank, who once upon a time had been Mia's English teacher (A/N In the books he was her Algebra teacher, in the first movie he was a English teacher. Since I love English and I despise Math because of my idiotic school's academic standards. I am making him a English teacher...) Her mother has two healthy children, herself and little Trevor. Her mother finally got her 'Happily Ever After' that didn't turn nor will turn into a soap opera angle.
She doesn't want nor does she believe in 'Happily Ever Afters', she just wants to fall in love, have a family, and make every previous, current, and future Genovians proud.
Authors Note: What did you think? Interesting? Boring? Should I continue? Will her outlook on Happily Ever Afters change? Please Review. Flames are accepted, however constructive criticism is perferred.
